We took a deliberate walk in the rain today up on the trails of Rib Mountain. The pitter-patter of rain drops bounced off my pink rain jacket while we sloshed through muddy terrain, trying not to slip or fall.
My boots made contact with every rock and log, leaping along the trail and feeling the energy of the earth radiating upward through my legs.
My lungs breathed in the rich air, filled with negative ions from the rain, recent storms and full streams running full down the hillside.
Sounds like a wonderfully pleasant hike ... and a healthy one, too! I rarely hike in the rain, but maybe I should do it more often!
